Hello, I get this error event in the application log every 60 minutes.
this is the Full log: Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchange FBPublish Event Category: General Event ID: 8207 Date: Time: User: N/A Computer: Servername Description: Error updating public folder with free/busy information on virtual machine servername. For more information, see Help and Support Center at
This pretty much narrows it down to a firewall problem, at least as far as Outlook 2007 is concerned.
Firewall is a Checkpoint NGX, configured for static NAT with ports 80 and 443 open.
Question..do I have to do to add a Front End Exchange server in this scenario an some gotchas? I think that this is something to do with Replication - however, we have only have one Exchange Server 2003 in the organisation - I have recently removed the old 5.5 Server and ADC. Exchange Server 2007Hi, Does anyone know when exchange 2007 RTM will be available for download on the msdn subscriptions site?
When looking at the public folders replication schedule, only the new server is listed so surely it wouldn't even be trying to replicate? Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchange FBPublish Event Category: General Event ID: 8207 Date: 18/11/2004 Time: ... And is it true that MS will only release a 64 bit version?
We do not use outlook 2003 in our organisation, only outlook 2007 and outlook 2010.
when I issue this command exchange shell: get-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE FREE BUSY" -Recurse | fl name, Replicas I receive this output : Name : SCHEDULE FREE BUSY Replicas : Name : EX:/o=Company/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) Replicas : I have found some articles where they are saying that when there is no replica object for "EX:/o=Company/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)" i should run this command: set-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE FREE BUSY\EX:/o=ORG NAME/ou=Legacy Administrative Group" -replicas "Server\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database But in my case I have the public folders object set in this replica, but have no replica object for "SCHEDULE FREE BUSY", should I set the public folder object in that replica too?
Deleting and recreating a mailbox for an old user does not help.
This is the output of Get-Public Folder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE FREE BUSY" -Recurse |Select Name, Parent Path, Replicas |FLName : SCHEDULE FREE BUSYParent Path : \NON_IPM_SUBTREEReplicas : Name : EX:/o=Organization/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)Parent Path : \NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE FREE BUSYReplicas : Also, starting at 6PM last night, the server started logging the following into application log: Source: MSExchange FBPublish Category: General Type: Error Event ID: 8207Description: Error updating public folder with free/busy information on virtual machine SERVERNAME. This is logged precisely every 50 minutes - started at , then at , then at and so on.
After migrating from Exchange 2000 to 2007 (which is a story in itself - public folder migration failed, and I had to restore them from backups and recreate the system folders), decommissioning the Exchange 2000 server and Windows 2000 domain controllers, and fixing (I think - I thought I had it fixed earlier once, and after 2 days, it came back on its own) the problem with offline address books not being created correctly, the last problem that remains is free/busy. All users can see free/busy information for everyone.
