The eighth season of the series premiered on April 1, 2016.
OWN renewed the show for a ninth season which premiered on September 30, 2016.
On January 30, 2017 OWN announced that the show will be ending after the tenth season. The sitcom was welcomed to generally mixed reviews from critics.
